Trend-based insights
Focusing on current industry happenings and news.
Empowering creative powerhouses.
Women in Entertainment (501c3), was co-founded by Renee Rossi. Since 2015, we’ve brought together forward-thinkers from all areas of the entertainment industry to explore a variety of topics that greatly impact women. These topics range from human rights and women’s leadership, to storytelling across platforms and empowering the next generation of women to emerge as creative powerhouses.
WHAT WE DO
Our programming is designed to spark a broader, more transparent dialogue that analyzes current and emerging topics with a depth that has not yet been explored by a dedicated program. Since the start of the organization, we have launched an annual summit, a film screening and Q&A series, networking evenings, mentorship programs, our WIE Network, and a series of workshops that provide women the tools to succeed.
Together, we seek to find creative solutions to the challenges women are facing in the entertainment industry. WIE is a place of action, not accolades.
We believe that when one of us rises, we all rise.
OUR MISSION
WIE was founded on positivity and a mission to help each of our members build their own network of champions within the industry. We work hard to provide a safe space where we can tell our stories free of judgment, gossip, and negativity. We approach our Summit content and programming through three core lenses.
Focusing on current industry happenings and news.
Exploring the topics our community cares about the most.
Illuminating perspectives from influential thought leaders.
At this full-day annual event, powerful keynotes are combined with inventive panel discussions and inspiring fireside chats that address a range of issues affecting women, including leadership, human rights, and storytelling across platforms.
